Mathematics Achievement Academies and ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Reading Academies
The Mathematics Achievement and ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Reading Academies are professional development initiatives for ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ public school educators. These academies enhance educators’ knowledge and skills in mathematics and reading instruction. The academies align with the latest research and best practices for teaching ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS). The goal of the academies is to help every student achieve proficiency in grade-level mathematics and reading.

Mathematics Achievement Academies
Senate Bill (SB) 934, 84th ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Legislature, introduces Mathematics Achievement Academies for kindergarten–grade 3.
Literacy Achievement Academies
SB 925, 84th ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Legislature, introduces Literacy Achievement Academies for teachers who provide reading instruction to students for kindergarten–grade 3.
Reading-to-Learn Academies
SB 972, 84th ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Legislature, introduces Reading-to-Learn Academies for teachers who provide comprehension instruction to students in grades 4-5.
The Reading Excellence Academies Development (READ) Grant
READ Grant is implemented. (Note: teachers have been given credit for House Bill (HB) 3 TRA if they participated)
